Robert Armstrong MA AFAIM
Executive Director
 
Bob came to Australia from Scotland in 1967 where he joined the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF).  He trained at the Institute of Aviation Medicine in Victoria.  When he left the RAAF he began a career in Pharmaceutical Sales Management and has been there almost all his working life. He is a Founding Director of AST and Director of Life Education South Australia.

Lawrence Atkinson JP FAICD FAIM FAITD FFin
Director
 
Lawrence has specialised in sales training and sales coaching, with over 20 years experience as both a trainer and a coach. Apart from his native Australia he has lived and worked in the UK, Europe, the Middle East and more recently the Pacific Islands.  He was, up until very recently, a Director of the Australian Institute of Training and Development, of which he is also a Fellow.  He currently holds Fellowships with the Australian Institute of Company Directors, the Australian Institute of Management, and the Financial Services Institute of Australasia.  Lawrence is also Accredited in the Herrman Brain Dominance Instrument.
 
His many experiences in a variety of sales situations present an interesting background for his training and coaching interventions and provide Lawrence with an ability to relate to and train people at all levels, across a variety of cultural and industry settings. This includes, for example, training and coaching business owners and managers, senior relationship managers, business banking managers, financial advisers, retail sales people, electrical sales engineers, accountants in PNG, new Australian exporters, importers and exporters in Fiji, and a video production company in Bahrain!

David Milne JP AFAIM
National Manager

David has 23 years experience in training and management, ranging from State to National level. His leadership and mentoring skills provide a sound benchmark for all our services.

David is currently working towards his Masters in Health Management, and has a sound background in Community Services.

As an Associate Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management, a primary focus for David is professional development, and team building.

David was a recipient of the Australia Day Medallion 2008, and is committed to ensuring quality for our clients.

Noelene Dawes

Noelene has a wonderful ability to lead, inspire and motivate others.  She is a creative thinker with the ability to sell ideas, along with possessing strong relationship and communication skills.

Noelene has excellent presentation and public speaking skills and has many years experience as a facilitator and trainer.  She specialises in coaching and mentoring for individuals and groups, with a focus on improving business performance through people.

Noelene is a Certified NLP Master Practitioner, a Certified NLP Coach, a Master Facilitator, and has a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment.

Client list includes CBA, BOC, Westpac, RTA, BDO Accountants, Exceleyes, Flexirent, Splash Group Safety, Techwriter Placements, Essencion and Spencer Travel.
 

 

Matt Featherstone

Matt has trained for large and small companies, across industry and across regions: IBM GBS (Australia, Japan, China, India), Tennix, BAE Systems Australia, Honeywell, Voelia, and Lenovo.

Matt’s training accreditations include:
  • Shipley’s Business Development Discipline (at Capability Maturity Model 5 level),
  • Advanced Facilitation for Adult Learning certificate from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Arts (focus on Adult Learning) from Macquarie University.
He practices the techniques he teaches in senior business development roles:
  • IBM’s PC Co (10 years),
  • Telstra (5 years),
  • Australian-based technology start ups (5 years) and
  • Macquarie Telecom.

Matt was instrumental in designing and delivering Telstra’s ‘Internet and Data Sales Accreditation’ program in 1997, which started the transformation of Telstra’s national Enterprise and Government sales force to a modern telecommunications service provider.

Matt’s business qualifications include:
